Bit and blade maker Freud introduced a new all-purpose tablesaw blade at the 2006 International Woodworking Fair (IWF) called the Premier Fusion, which is designed to plow through solid wood lumber, plywood, and melamine. A unique double side-grind and 30-degree top bevel on the cutting teeth promise to eliminate tearout no matter the material or cutting operation, according to the company. Contributing editor Roland Johnson takes a look at the new combination blade, which is do out by the end of September 2006, in this video from Freud’s booth at IWF.
