After receiving April’s copy of FWW I was greatly inspired by the “knickknacks” done by Hank Gilpin. They were absolutely beautiful. It was also then that I was made...
"Buddha" Box
Since I am completely addicted to box making I always have a lot of small scraps laying around...actually I have a rolling bins worth! I will take these scraps and make small boxes to study...
My Nightmares and Dreams
The title of the box says it all...I dreamed of the design and had nightmares that it would come alive and chase me. It took four months of after work and weekends to finish but I wouldn't have...

Very cool. I love the way you formed the piece. I am guessing you have a hollowed out section full of something to make it rattle?

Excellent!! Nothing like a book of the masters to get the winter box designing juices flowing. I met Jay and Janet O'Rourke, who are featured in this book, at a local art fair. They had a copy of the newly released book with them. It was very inspirational meeting two artists who have able to lead a life doing what they love...and it just happens to be what I(or we) love also. Please enter me for a chance to become moved by the masters!

Longhair1...Thank you very much for the compliments! I currently don't have plans to make more but you never know what the future holds (hopefully it still holds employment). All my designs are one-of-a-kind pieces but I loved making this one so I foresee new pieces sharing some of the design aspects . Having a computer savvy little brother I am hoping to have a website soon so watch for me in the future. Thank you again!!-Jeff

posted: 10:19 pm on March 24thSorry about that…tried to write, computer screen blanked out and next thing I know it posted twice. I just wanted to thank you for your very kind comments you left. I truly don’t believe the skill comment though:-) Do you know how many times I stared at “Starburst”…countless!! I have almost worn that book out. You have been an inspiration to my work and I am sure many others out there share the same thoughts.
I will contact you on your website!
It’s been an honor,
