Hi Taylor,
posted: 9:11 pm on October 28thSince I gave them away as gifts I'll have to approximate the dimensions. Length 16" at top of curve. The widths are symmetrical but varies; 2" at center (maple) then 1" walnut, then 1 1/2" cherry, then 2" maple and 1/2" walnut. The second board has walnut replaced with purple heart.

Excellent work and such a unique design! I'm intrigued how you cut and inserted the splines..or is it a secret?

Thanks Curteshelman.
posted: 12:07 am on February 18thI used Titebond III. I acknowledge the swelling issue and time will tell. This issue was mentioned in FWW #205 and it seems all is OK if you mix up the grain directions to even out the tensions. I have somewhat mixed the tangential with radial grain as shown in the last photo. Perhaps the degree swelling will be minimized as I soaked the board with oil virtually through to the other side. I periodically re-saturate the board hoping to further minimizing humidity effects.
Re: Maple/cherry cutting board
Nice contrasting woods. Just wondering if you found a solution to possible wood expansion. Wouldn't the pocket screws prevent board movement?

I spaced the shelf supports so they would hit the wall studs and then just screwed it on. You might be able to see a small dimple on the support (yet to be plugged) where I screwed it.
