Sheet Music Chest
comments (5) October 16th, 2008 in Reader's GalleryThis is a chip carved chest that is design to hold sheet music. It is made entirely of basswood and the finish is 6 coats of semigloss polyurethane. The drawers are mounted on wooden slides to provide full drawer extension. As can be seen, the front carving is the words and musical notes to the song America.

Thanks for your kind comments. I will be glad to furnish the dimensions. Overall height 19 inches
Overall width 17 inches
Overall depth 11.5 inches
Each drawer front is 1.5 inches high however the inside depth of the drawer is about 1.25 inches due to the drawer bottom. Let me know if you would like additional info.

Congradulations on your chest. As others have mentioned, fantastic chip carving. I have been pondering making a music
chest for my daughter also. What is the size of your chest?
What is the height of your drawers?
Thanks, Susan
I'm sure your daughter loves her new chest!
