This cabinet, made for my 8yr. old daughter Alexandra is designed to hang necklaces and hold rings and earings in the drawer. Built of airdryed walnut, quilted maple, mahogany, pau ferro and tulipwood. The case joinery is sliding dovetails. The herringbone inlay is handmade of walnut, maple, and holly. The tulipwood door knob is hand carved. The marquetry on the door panel is  done with a "stab" technique using carving chisels and a scratch stock and trammel for the string lines. The beading around the door is also done with a scratch stock and a home made scraper cut from old bandsaw blade. The finis is oil and shellac.
