Segmented Leopardwood Hollow Form

Segmented Leopardwood Hollow Form

This segmented form contains 217 pieces of Leopardwood plus the lid and Ebony Finial. It measures 6" dia. x 11-1/2" tall. I turned this as a Christmas gift for my wife.

keburns keburns writes: Thanks for your comments Trviwolf. A lot of segmenters do as you say by turning two halves and then putting them together. I am by no means a wizard, but I always assemble my pieces totally before turning and hollowing. Perhaps this comes from turning and hollowing solid wood pieces. It's just the way I have always done it.
