Five Drawer Chest

Classic five drawer chest in the Connecticut style.  Wood is tiger maple.  Secondary wood is pine.  Finish is oil, amber shellac hand rubbed with rottenstone and 3 coats of wax.

CTWoodwright CTWoodwright writes: Thanks for the kind words. Glad you liked the legs, though I think they may be a bit to curvy. The exposed dovetails on the top is something Eldred Wheeler does a great deal of and I liked it, so I tried it.

The bail up was an ooops moment.

I like how you dovetailed the carcus together and then left them visible, I know that its the way it was done but I never had the guts to do it like that I was always affraid people wouldnt understand, I guess it would be my responsibility to educate.
I do have a question though, Did you intentionally leave the bail up on the left side of the second and third drawers? I've seen this done often in pictures, is it just an oops?
