Mahagony tool chest with pocket doors on the sides, a bow front top drawer, Santos mahagony drawer partitions and door frames, and cubby holes on each side of bottom drawer with pull out slides in them to accomodate a #8 joiner plane.
Drawer fronts are veneered with Makore. The bandings were made from maple strips and black veneer.
All dovetails on drawers and case are hand cut. Top drawer is a bow front and protrudes out beyond other drawers when closed.
Carved Maple handles are half blind dove tailed to the slides for the large planes.
The pocket doors are lockable.

The chest is made from Genuine Mahagony, Santos Mahagony, and has Maple & Makore accents. It has a bow front top drawer, side stored pocket doors, cubby holes on each side of the bottom drawer to fit long planes. It has moveable slides in the cubby holes so that the planes can be removed without scratching the cabinet. It measures approximately 35" wide x 21" tall x 26" deep. All of the dovetails in the drawers and cabinet were hand cut. The finish is orange shellac.
