This chest was inspired by a tool chest my father owned. Unlike many modern machinist’s chests, a current machinist’s handbook actually fits in the handbook drawer. The chest is built entirely out of quarter sawn white oak, except for the drawer bottoms, which are made of 1/8” Baltic birch. I was unable to find a suitable set of plans to build the chest, so I designed my own plans. These plans are now available for purchase on eBay.
