The piece is made from highly figured, solid curly (tiger) maple which is accentuated with an English Chestnut stain and tung oil finish. The top is "absolute black" granite.

Six thin layers of solid wood are glued together and then "bent" in a curving press.
The drawer front and aprons are precisely cut from the resulting laminated piece.........
.........and create a "seamless" curve when the hand-dovetailed drawer is closed

This bowfront corner table was one of two projects commissioned by a Fortune 500 client who requested a phone stand for their conference center.
